Any underwater inspection is only as good as the information communicated. Subsea divers can investigate, record, and effectively report critical information to their supervisor at site. Marine structures inspections are supervised by Civil Engineer or Site Engineer. The reports contain detailed summaries, CAD drawings, images, and underwater video documentation to help identify any structural concerns.

Subsea uses a closed circuit colour television (CCTV) system with a surface monitor, DVR and two-way hard wire communication system between divers(s) and supervisor when conducting an underwater survey to ensure that a complete and accurate assessment of the vessel’s underwater condition is reported to clients.

The results of an inspections are fully recorded and reported in a standard format that ensures all the required information is presented to the client. Subsea uses hydraulic powered special purpose discs and pads in conducting propeller polishing.

Once polished, a propeller finish will remain in its condition for several months depending on propeller type and vessel’s activity.

It is common knowledge in the maritime industry that a correctly polished propeller will increase speed and be fuel efficient.

By recording CP potential measurements and making visual assessments of the anodes. This reading can determine if corrosion is fully arrested and to make recommendations to correct corrosion issues.

Subsea can inspect and report on the condition of Sacrificial Anodes and Impress Current Cathodic Protection System either as part of planned maintenance program or on an opportunity basis when other underwater works are required.
